RV-14/14A Oil Cooler Data Collection - Van's Aircraft Total Performance RV Kit Planes

We are collecting data from the field for RV-14/14A aircraft owners to determine the actual frequency of oil cooler leaks. We have received reports of a very small number of coolers that have leaked. Van's will pass the collected data along to the manufacturer to include in their analysis. Note that the oil cooler selected for the RV-14/14A was chosen after testing several oil coolers, and was selected due to it's exceptional cooling capability and quality. The leak/failure rate observed to date is extremely low. The oil cooler manufacturer is interested in collecting additional data, and Van's is assisting in that regard via this data collection form.
