Steve Methot’s RV-7 | Angus Ontario Canada RV-7 #74364

Congratulations to Steve on his first flight and completion of his RV-7! He reports:

After 10 years of on and off building, C-FSMW finally took to the sky on Jan 7, 2024 at Edenvale Airport, Ontario, Canada. The weather was cold, the sky was grey, but the excitement of this moment was as if the sun was shining bright.

After a couple of aborted take-offs due to a bad feedback loop in the headset that was quickly fixed, the airplane literally jumped off the runway, carrying myself and my test pilot, Simon Hitchen (Aeroworks). The plane flew straight as an arrow and performed better than expected with only minor issues.

A big thank you to my wife Nathalie and Steph for all the rivet bucking and Simon for helping me cross the finish line on this building marathon. It was all worth it! Now the fun part starts! See you at the airport.
