Richard Caummisar’s RV-7A | Idaho Falls, Idaho (KIDA) RV-7A #73072
Congrats to Richard, who writes:
Sixteen years after receiving an empennage kit, N755RC flew for the first time on April 16, 2023. Completion was drawn out by 40% work travel and a project move from Amarillo, TX to Idaho Falls, ID. The project sat in a hangar for 8 months while I moved back to Idaho.
I’m proud to say that because of help from VAF, I only called Van’s help desk twice.
First flight was smooth with no squawks. Instrumentation is 2-ten inch Dynon Classic displays, powered by VP-X Pro. IO-360-M1B and Hartzell prop purchased from Vans. This engine was affected by Lycoming Service Bulletin SB SB-632-B, so removing/reinstalling the engine added to the sixteen year build time. Wheel pants and paint still to do.
