Morgan wrote in to let us know about the first flight of his RV-7! He wrote:

My first flight was very exciting, but overall it went very well. I had done a fast taxi and was happy with the control I had so on my next pass I give it more power I was flying. I am used to a C172 and the rate of climb is awesome. As I leveled off at pattern altitude and the speed came in I got a little taste of what is to come. I am relatively new to tail wheel so I was a bit nervous about the first landing. Getting the speed under control was my worry as I descended but the flaps were affective and I rolled into a smooth wheel landing. Two small issues were presented in my flight, one of my j trims on my wing root fairing came loose and made some noise and my idle mixture got my attention when the engine quit after landing. I am excited to get some hours in it and I am getting a great deal of satisfaction from the completion of a lifetime dream.
