Michael Wagner’s RV-9 | Austria LOLW RV-9 #92005

Nice work Michael! He writes:

During my university time we were designing and building an aircraft at the Akaflieg Stuttgart, the fs35. When i finished I decided to proceed this dedication for aviation and started an RV-7 empennage. But then I was able to purchase a second hand QB-Kit RV-9 and built in in the garage of my dad’s car. This winter he wanted to have the car back in the garage, so I had to finish. #nopressure 😀

First flight of the RV-9 was one of the best moments in my aviaton life. I like the handling characteristic, the performance, the view from inside and how it looks from outside. It felt intuitive from the very beginning.

Configuration is rather simple: O-320 with fixed pitch propeller and one Dynon avionics display.

Thanks a lot to everybody who supported me during the built. Especially my dad always had a helpful hand when needed. And sorry that the garage is now covered with red/white/pink overspray 😀
