Jesse and Ken Norling’s RV-12 | Auburn, WA RV-12 #120577

Congrats to Jesse and Ken on their new RV-12. Here’s their story:

Nearly 10 years ago, I bought the RV-12 empennage kit after looking at several different airplane options. This started the best father-son project you could imagine. I started the build, and as I got further along it became a weekly tradition for my father and I to get together and work on the plane. After many starts and stops, me getting married and starting a family of my own, we finally were able to finish the project. We were even able to have it wrapped with vinyl instead of painted, which turned out better than we could have hoped. It was the best feeling to take this new bird into the sky for the first time, and we had only a few minor issues noted on the first flight. I think we both still have that RV grin permanently stuck on our faces. Can’t wait to complete phase 1, so we can both fly it together! Now the only question is what to start building next!
