Gregory J Miller’s RV-7A | Redlands, CA RV-7A #70274

Congrats to Greg on his RV-7A! He writes:

Greg Miller finally flew his RV-7A for the first time on Aug 14, 2024. It was perfect morning with light and variable winds and cooler than it had been for weeks. I spent 43 minutes orbiting the field with a big grin on my face. The airplane flew beautifully and the engine behaved like a brand Titan IO-370 with 9:6/1 compression pistons. It ran warm but stayed within limits.

Thanks to Chris Droege in Nampa, ID, for giving me confidence to fly this airplane with 6 hours of transition training the last week of July. Thanks to my wife Donna for losing a good part of our garage for over 10 years. Thanks to Ted Gablin (RV-7A driver) and my son Jay (CFI and airline pilot) who acted as my ground safety team. Thanks to Doug Reeves and Van’s Air Force for allowing me to lurk all these years and learn.
