Congratulations to David! He writes:
Slow build C-GCOA was completed almost exactly two years after the tail kit arrived but delays with the paperwork over the Christmas holidays meant we couldn’t legally fly it until February 12. First flight was flawless and conducted by my building partner Gene with myself monitoring the engine gauges and holding the emergency procedures checklists (not needed!). The plane is perfectly balanced and so responsive. Lycoming Thunderbolt IO-360 with MT CS prop and inverted fuel and oil systems means lots of aerobatic fun in its future.
Pretty amazing TAS on the Dynon Skyview screenshot from the first flight. The second photo is me heading out for my first solo a few days later.
