Dave Clinthorne’s RV-6A | Fredericksburg, Virginia RV-6A #22740

Congrats Dave!

Rolled down the runway, and it tracked well.

Felt the stick get “light”, and then I was off.

It wasn’t until I was at 1100 ft, that I said to myself, well it flies and the enormity of it started to sink in.

Followed Mike Busch’s recommendations on how to properly break in the new engine. That was; run it hard and continuous for 1-2 hours until the CHT’s come down but not more than 440 degrees F.
Returned to the airport and landed.

I consider this one of my life’s great accomplishments.
