Dan Probst’s RV-8A | Williamson, NY RV-8A #83911

Congrats to Dan on his new RV-8A! He writes:

To get here it took 4 years (almost exactly), 3300 hours of work, 15000 rivets, and almost my sanity, but N8824 took to the skies this morning, 11/19/2024, at 11:02am, from KSDC, and flew beautifully! I can’t understate how fast and smooth this thing flies. It’s incredible, and I’m excited to go as many places as possible in this thing. The amount I learned along the way is invaluable as well.

There are many people to thank for their help along the way. My rivet assistants Ben, Gilead, Steve, Ted, and my sister Elise, my tech counselor Dan, my “trailering expert” Scott, my primary instructor Mike and transition trainer Tom, my parents and siblings for their encouragement and enthusiasm, chef Helene, and Van’s for designing this spectacular machine. This couldn’t have happened without any of them!
