Christian Ellersdorfer’s RV-10 | Wolfsberg (LOKW), Austria RV-10 #41849
Congratulations to the Ellersdorfer family on their new RV-10! Christian writes:
On August 10, 2023, after more than five years of building, our RV-10 took off for the first time in LOKW (Austria). It was an overwhelming feeling to finally be able to fly the first RV-10 in Austria after so many hours in the workshop. The first flight and the entire test flight phase went without any major issues. Only minor adjustments were necessary. We have now completed more than 60 hours of flying time and the entire test phase.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the many nice people we met during the building phase. They all helped us to complete our project. Our adventure began with Michael Wellenzohn in Switzerland, who gave us our first ride in his RV-10. We met Daryl Sahnow at the Aero in Friedrichshafen and that was the starting point for our aircraft project. One of the most important people during the building phase was Johann (Hans) Haberhofer, who spent many hours on the phone or on site helping to complete the airplane.
The whole family is already looking forward to the next flights!
