Ulay writes in to tell the world about the first flight of the new RV-10 that he and his wife Kelly built!

Finally, after 3 years and 9 months, we had our first flight. The exhilaration we felt made all the hard work and painstaking effort worth it. Thanks to my wonderful wife and building partner for allowing me to achieve the dream of a lifetime. We named our airplane “Rosie” after Rosie the Riveter. My wife did her proud.

We’d like to thank the many people who helped us along the way including Gil, Travis, Mel, Glenn and Tito to name but a few. To all we say, “thank you!” A special thanks to Alan Muhs, my friend and mentor. Alan also served as my additional pilot on the first flight. His vast knowledge and experience made this first flight a truly outstanding experience,
