Congrats to Gary on his new RV-8! He writes:

As a low time tailwheel pilot, I chose Barney Locke, retired airline captain and RV-8 owner, for the maiden flight at Petaluma airport. Pictured below are some of those who assisted me during my seven year build. The first flight, March 30th of 2019, was virtually perfect – which I credit to the quality of Van’s kit, excellent builder support and the community of RV builders. N409PM, or Papa Mike is named for my father Michael who encouraged my aviation interests as a youngster. Papa Mike is powered by an Aero Sport IO-375 and Whirl Wind 74HRT. Dynon SkyView with Garmin GNS-520 provide full IFR capability. Paint is by Scheme Designers and T&P AeroRefinishers.
