David Harvey’s New RV-10 | Joliet, Illinois RV-10 #40305
David writes to tell the world about the first flight of his RV-10 – congrats!
First flight was on May 29th 2020. Took off from Joliet Regional Airport (KJOT). The flight was uneventful….just what I was planning on… I’m glad I decided on the flight training, so I knew what to expect and it performed as expected. The power plant is a Lycoming O-540 fitted with the EFII system 32 Fuel injection system. The prop is a Whirlwind HRT77. The panel was built in house with an Approach Fast Stack wiring harness. It’s a Garmin panel with Dual G3x touch screens autopilot and a GTN 650. The interior is finished off with Aerosport products. Thanks to my friend Bob Bentley for providing a place to build it, the tools and his invaluable knowledge and experience. Special thanks to my wife for putting up with me during the build. She became very good at bucking rivets. Hope to have many years of travel with it.
