Robert Skinner’s RV-10 | Magnolia, Texas RV-10 #40279
Congratulations to Robert Skinner on the first flight of his new RV-10!
RV-10 # 40279 made its first flight May 7 from KCXO, Conroe, Texas. The flight went very well with the exception on the #1 cylinder running hotter than preferred. I was accompanied by Richard Jankowski acting as Additional Pilot. I highly recommend the Additional Pilot Program. It adds a great margin of safety by dividing the workload. As always there are too many people to thank to name them all. The most notable are fellow RV-10 builders Pat Thyssen, Richard Jankowski, Joe Waltz, Allen Archer and Tim Huneycutt. Special thanks to Neil Bamsch for machining custom parts. To my son-in-law Travis Bailey for 3D printing custom parts. To the many vendors who support us all with their great products. A special thanks to SteinAir for building a great panel and always being there for troubleshooting support. To the many friends and family for their support and understanding throughout the journey especially my daughters Bailey and Reagan. And a very special thanks to Richard Jankowski for transition training and continued guidance and acting as Additional Pilot during flight testing.
