| Introduction to Avionics
Van's has arrangements with several major manufacturers of avionics. The items shown here have proven the most popular with RV builders, but are no means the only ones available. We can usually supply any item in a manufacturer's line, given enough warning.
New technologies and demands mean that products and prices are constantly changing. Because avionics is not our major business, we keep only a small stock on hand, and depend on manufacturers to supply us in a timely manner when we make an order. Usually they do, but if there is some surge in demand or a manufacturing/business problem, it can take several weeks to receive products.

| Honeywell Bendix/King
GPS and Transponder antennas are included with King units. Nav, Comm and other antennas must be purchased separately.
Bendix/King equipment is an OEM item and we can only sell to RV builders for use in RV aircraft.

Garmin avionics are available from Van's Aircraft.
Prefabricated custom harnesses are required for most of these units. Van's has made arrangements for these to be fabricated and tested by Pacific Coast Avionics. Customers must indicate the appropriate length wires for their installation on the harness checklist form. Van's cannot tell you what the correct length is for your airplane. It depends on where the builder chooses to install the units, headphone jack location and other variables.
